Ace The Stigma’s inaugural 2025 Jacksonville Triples Tennis Event brought together the Jacksonville community at the historic Florida Yacht Club for an unforgettable evening of tennis, inspiration, and social impact. The sold-out event, which featured 75 players, drew over 150 attendees who rallied for mental health awareness and support.
Hosted on Friday, June 6, the event turned the tennis court into a platform for healing, education, and connection. Ace The Stigma, a public nonprofit founded in memory of tennis enthusiast and community leader Chuck Reiney, uses the sport to spotlight the importance of mental wellness and help reduce stigma—empowering people to feel confident in seeking and accessing the support they need. The JAX event included a unique triples tennis round robin—where anyone could play and all levels were welcomed—followed by food, drinks, and opportunities for heartfelt conversations about mental health.
Thanks to generous community support — including both corporate and individual sponsors — the event raised $23,500 in proceeds, all of which benefit Here Tomorrow, the leading mental health support organization in Northeast Florida. The night also featured an educational segment and resource-sharing by local mental health organizations, ensuring every guest walked away empowered and informed. Terri Andrews, CEO of Here Tomorrow, shared at the event’s conclusion:
“We are truly grateful for Ace the Stigma, and it's an honor to have been selected as the gift recipient. Together, we’re eliminating barriers and building a community where mental health support is accessible to everyone. At Here Tomorrow, we know that hope starts with connection. Partnering with Ace the Stigma lets us bring our life‑saving message to new communities through a sport that unites people and sparks conversations about mental health. Chuck Reiney’s legacy reminds us that mental health challenges can touch any family. By honoring his memory and fighting stigma on the court, we affirm that every conversation about mental health matters—and that together, we can save lives.”
